Player Ratings: D.C. United 5-0 RSL

Things spiraled out of control in D.C. for almost everyone.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at D.C. United Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 4.5 In fairness, there was not much Rimando could do about most of the five goals that found their way past him. But two saves versus five goals is not a good ratio.

Aaron Herrera - 3.5 Herrera had a couple moments which exposed his inexperience and led directly to goals. He had some really nice moments early on, but then things got out of control.

Marcelo Silva - 3.5 You could make a strong argument that Silva was hard done on the penalty call. But he needs to keep his head enough to not get that second yellow card.

Nedum Onuoha - 5.5 Nedum played pretty well regardless of what was happening around him. He tried to fortify the back line, but a couple of red cards makes everyone look bad.

Brooks Lennon - 5 Lennon lost his mark early on which very well could have been a goal. After that, he did a decent job of keeping things in his control.

Albert Rusnak - 5.5 Rusnak did a pretty good job of creating some looks for RSL, but none of that led to the ball getting in the net.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman was one of the few RSL players that seemed in control of his destiny on the night.

Everton Luiz - 5.5 Everton continues to show his value on this club. Even though this was nowhere near his best showing for RSL, he still was one of the better players on the field for the club.

Corey Baird - 5 This was a really quiet game from Baird. He didn’t see the ball much.

Jefferson Savarino - 4.5 Savarino was the best player on the field for the first 30 minutes until he got his red card. Regardless of whether or not he was hard done by the ref, his high boot put RSL in a very difficult situation.

Damir Kreilach - 4.5 Damir has to score those open looks at goal like he had early on, and he admitted as much.

Sam Johnson - 5 Johnson was unable to have much of an impact coming on for nearly thirty minutes, but RSL was already well down the path to losing.

Bofo Saucedo - 6 Bofo came on as a sub and really brought some desperately needed energy for RSL. He had two of their best scoring chances.

Nick Besler - N/A
