Player Ratings: RSL 2-1 Orlando City

RSL turned things around at home after losing four straight.

MLS: Orlando City SC at Real Salt Lake Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6 Four saves from Rimando on the night. He was smart in distributing the ball under pressure as well.

Aaron Herrera - 6.5 Herrera had a a really nice night. He was credited, rightfully so, for an assist on the Kreilach goal when he found Savarino running up the side. His defense was critical down the stretch.

Justen Glad - 6 Glad had a pretty good game in his return after injury. He brought a calm confidence to the defense that was much needed.

Nedum Onuoha - 6.5 Nedum was a force on the back line and had some really quick reactions to prevent Orlando from getting very good looks at the goal.

Donny Toia - 5.5 Nothing too dangerous came through him. He quietly went about his business against Orlando CIty SC.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman has a defensive force, but left us wanting on his one or two chances to pull the trigger on goal.

Everton Luiz - 5 Everton only got 28 minutes in the game before he left due to an injury in his knee. He was looking as sharp as ever, albeit a clear target for Orlando.

Albert Rusnak - 6.5 When Rusnak got the ball he was really good and skinned more than one defender. Even though he wasn’t credited with an assist, his ball to Johnson on the goal was superb.

Damir Kreilach - 6.5 Kreilach was having a hard time getting things going in the first half with Orlando applying fast pressure on him if he got anywhere near the ball, but his late run and goal were beautiful, fundamental soccer.

Jefferson Savarino - 6.5 Savarino had a nice game with a near goal and a fun nutmeg assist to find a streaking Kreilach.

Sam Johnson - 7 Johnson got his goal and the weight off his back. It was a really nice effort and skill goal. He got everything on it and tagged it so well that there was nothing Rowe could do to stop it from a difficult angle. He was a constant threat on the field.

Substitutes

Nick Besler - 5.5 Besler came on without much warning and contributed to the win with his defensive midfield experience.

Corey Baird - 4.5 Baird looked just a little bit off in his time on the field. He was unable to connect very well under pressure, but contributed on the defensive end.

Brooks Lennon - N/A
