Player Ratings: Galaxy 2-1 RSL

RSL’s second half was strong in L.A.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at LA Galaxy Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Andrew Putna - 6 Putna came up with four pretty difficult saves in L.A. Even though two goals got past him, neither was anywhere near his fault.

Aaron Herrera - 5.5 Herrera was caught behind his man on the first Galaxy goal, but was directly involved in RSL’s goal.

Justen Glad - 4 Glad was one of the better players on the field for RSL in the first half, but then got caught watching the ball on Zlatan’s game-winning goal.

Nedum Onuoha - 6.5 Nedum held his ground all night long both on and off the field. He was clearly being targeted by Ibrahimovic, but never lost his composure and was RSL’s best defender on the night.

Donny Toia - 6 Toia got beat repeatedly on his side in the first half, but had a really nice recovery in the second half and got his first RSL goal in the process.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman had a relatively quiet game, but did set up the attackers pretty well throughout the game. He was really lucky not to see a yellow card for his foul in the first half.

Corey Baird - 4.5 We did not see too much from Baird in this game. It was 90 minutes in which things seemed just a bit off for Corey.

Albert Rusnak - 5.5 Rusnak was pretty good in possession but had a little trouble getting a shot off.

Damir Kreilach - 6 Damir had plenty of chances with seven shots. Unfortunately, none of them found the back of the net even though a couple of them came really close.

Jefferson Savarino - 5 Savarino did not win very many battles and his shots were a little ambitious and left us wanting.

Sam Johnson - 5 Johnson looked fatigued and was not nearly as influential against the Galaxy as he was the past two games.

Bofo Saucedo - 5.5 Bofo once again inserted some energy and attacking play into the game as a sub.
