Real Salt Lake : Should we be worried about not having Damir Kreilach this weekend?
This is a question I’ve heard thrown around on the internet. Damir Kreilach is arguably one of RSL’s most important pieces of the puzzle right now and we will be without him this weekend. This could pose a lot of issues. With Real Salt Lake playing in Seattle, a place they don’t have a great history in, it will be a hard game. Going to CenturyLink field is always one of the hardest games of the year. Though, with Corey Baird back to full health and Bofo Saucedo showing some promise, there are options. It’s by no means going to be easy, especially with Kreilach gone, but it’s still doable with the right mindset.
Utah Royals FC : What should URFC fans look for from our US internationals in the USWNT game today?
URFC have two players on the roster for this friendly, Christen Press and Becky Sauerbrunn. Knowing these games will be some of the last action we see from them before Royals season starts, it’ll be interesting to see how this game goes. Although we cannot predict whether either of them will start, that’s up to Jill Ellis, URFC fans should be happy with a good defensive performance. The Australian WNT is going to be a great test to prepare them for the World Cup, and if we can get a result that will be huge, especially if Sauerbrunn is leading the backline. From Press we really should just be looking for a little more of the same. From what we’ve seen she looks solid and if she’s able to get a goal, even better. The best thing to hope for her is maybe a few more minutes on the field.
Real Monarchs SLC: What do they need to do to bounce back?
The Real Monarchs had their first loss of the season last week against the Las Vegas Lights. Prior to this game they had conceded just one goal and were on a two game shutout streak. This match for RMSLC wasn’t a complete disaster, fortunately. This team was high off a 5-0 win in LA the week prior and likely this minor loss won’t damage the morale too bad. Knowing RMSLC will be back at home against a Reno team they have a bitter taste in their mouths from after losing in the first round of the playoffs, RMSLC will want revenge and likely play like it too.
