STARTERS:
Nicole Barnhart: 7 - Barnhart kept Sam Kerr and Chicago off the board, keeping a shut out in the win.
Michelle Maemone: 6 - Maemone looked fairly solid last night, though she did have some fouls that could have led to goalscoring opportunities for Chicago.
Rachel Corsie: 6.5 - Corsie had a solid but quiet game last night.
Sam Johnson: 6.5 - Johnson played her first game this year and looked pretty good. She had some good passes and intercepted the ball well.
Katie Bowen: 6.5 - Bowen was involved on both sides of the ball and did well to create chances and keep Chicago off the board.
Gunny Jónsdóttir: 7 - Gunny got the assist on the game-winning goal. She fought and battled all game.
Vero Boquete: 8 - Vero was very dangerous and created multiple chances. She almost had her first goal in a Utah Royals uniform, but hit the crossbar.
Lo’eau LaBonta: 7 - LaBonta has looked good all season. Tonight she was good on both sides of the ball and had a good shot on goal that was saved.
Desiree Scott: 6.5 - Scott has looked good all season, but she’s been relatively quiet the past two games. She did help keep Chicago off the board, though.
Amy Rodriguez: 7 - Rodriguez seemed to struggle for a good chunk of the game, but she put a ball in the back of the net to secure the win. It was a great finish from a great pass.
Katie Stengel: 6.5 - Stengel played well in her first start of the season. She didn’t have many, if any real chances on target, but she held the ball well and helped the offense.
Crossbar: 1 - The crossbar was not friendly for URFC. They had two shots hit it and bounce away from goal.
SUBSTITUTES
Erika Tymrak: 7 - Tymrak came on and provided a well-needed boost to help the team earn the victory. She passed the ball to Gunny who crossed it in for the goal. She didn’t get credited with an assist but should have.
Mandy Laddish: 6.5 - In her second appearance as a Royal, Laddish looked good. She helped possess on offense and contributed on the defensive side as well.
