Johnson and Kreilach led the offensive charge for RSL.

MLS: Sporting Kansas City at Real Salt Lake Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6.5 Tally another shutout for Rimando. He had three saves against Sporting KC and helped organize a very efficient defense.

Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera was very good in pressure situations and helped RSL earn a clean sheet.

Nedum Onuoha - 7.5 This may very well have been Onuoha’s best game for RSL. He was in every position at the right time, especially when it looked like KC had a sure shot. He was massive.

Justen Glad - 7 Glad formed the perfect partnership with Onuoha. He made multiple well-timed tackles to prevent Sporting from getting a shot off.

Donny Toia - 6.5 Toia battled all night long and never gave up on either side of the ball.

Everton Luiz - 6.5 Luiz is back to looking like his early season self. He was all over the midfield being a destroyer.

Kyle Beckerman - 6.5 Beckerman was very clean on the ball in this one and picked up an assist on the corner kick goal. He captained the team as per usual and never let RSL pull their foot off the gas.

Damir Kreilach - 7.5 Damir got two assists and nearly a couple of goals. He was one of the main catalysts for RSL on the night.

Albert Rusnak - 7 Rusnak created a lot of good looks for RSL whether it was making a key pass or getting a shot off. He was dangerous for the full 90.

Bofo Saucedo - 6 Bofo had a really bright first half but cooled off a bit as the game went on.

Sam Johnson - 8 Sam showed his striker instincts and put two goals in with his return to the starting XI. He was in the right place to score on both of his goals and showed a bit of selfishness along the way. Given the alternative, that’s something to be grateful for. He also put in work on the defensive side.

Substitutes

Brooks Lennon - 6 Lennon came on for RSL with about 30 minutes to play and made an impact on the game. It was good to see him on the wing for extended minutes. He probably should have scored his shot, but overall did very well for himself.

Corey Baird - 5.5 Baird showed some fire in his 23 minutes on the field and used his speed to his advantage.
