Sorry no podcast last week. Life happens. But there’s been a lot to talk about, and we mean a lot to talk about.
We want to start off by starting with a thank you to Sam Johnson. What a player. We’ve described her as a player in a an unwinnable position. Behind Rachel Corsie and Becky Sauerbrunn, those are big shoes to fill, but she filled them during the World Cup. To want to retire in pre-season but stick around to help out her teammates is incredible. Hope to have her on the podcast soon.
Here’s a link to more details on Sam’s retirement.

The USWNT won the World Cup. It’s not the biggest surprise, but wow, wow wow. The words are hard to find.
We have promised not to get political in the past, but... We’re proud of Kelley O’Hara, Megan Rapinoe and others for being themselves on the world’s biggest stage, and the fight for equal pay. So yeah, we get political.
The game against Reign FC. Kinda don’t want to talk about it, but we should probably talk about it. So we did, in fact, talk about it.
You had questions. We had answers.
