Soapbox Oracle - 9/16/2019

Oracle Scoring System:

  • Getting the right result (Team A beats Team B): 1 point
  • Each correct number of goals for either team: 1 point (result was 1-1, and you picked 2-1; gives you 1 correct pick and 1 wrong pick so 1 point).
  • If you picked the correct goal for one team, and the final result (result was 2-0, and you picked 2-1; you get 1 point for the goal, and one for the result so 2 points).

So there is are 0-3 points possible for EVERY game. Bonus games will also be added occasionally with International games, Open Cup and others.

There were 23 games, plus one bonus match this week. Player scores fell off a bit with some surprising results. There are 24 games at stake for next week, so a lot of points to earn!

Midweek games have been carried over from last week, so as always if you wish to keep your previous picks feel free to leave them blank.

ORACLE OF THE WEEK: RSLMountainMan with 26 points!

  • Participation: 9 - plus two carryovers from last week.
  • Game with most points earned: Two games tied; Real Salt Lake beating San Jose Earthquakes and the USL game Real Monarchs SLC romp over Portland Timbers 2 awarded 16 points each to players!
  • Game with least points earned: Atlanta United’s home loss vs Columbus Crew gave one person a single point for picking the result.
  • Bonus/Tiebreaker: 88 goals scored. On one came close since there were a lot of high scoring matches this week.
