RSL dropped crucial points at home.

MLS: LA Galaxy at Real Salt Lake Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 5.5 Rimando’s distribution out of the back was pretty good, but he was unable to make any critical saves.

Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera was there when called upon winning most of his one-on-one battles.

Nedum Onuoha - 6.5 Nedum had a goal in the 89th minute giving RSL a slim chance to climb back into the game. Somehow, Cristian Pavon got through his tight defense to put L.A. up early in the second half.

Justen Glad 4 Glad dealt with Zlatan on multiple occasions and held his own pretty well. Unfortunately, he had a glaring mistake trying to shield the ball from Pavon but losing the battle which led to the dagger goal.

Donny Toia - 6 Toia really had a goal line save that kept L.A. off the board for a while longer and his confidence showed through for much of the rest of the game.

Everton Luiz - 6.5 Everton was very good winning the ball and pushing it forward when it seemed impossible. His energy was impressive to watch.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman won some tackles and missed on a couple tackles, but he did a good job of finding players in spaces to keep moving the ball.

Damir Kreilach - 4 Kreilalch was off in a few aspects of the game. His passing was not there for too much of the match.

Jefferson Savarino - 5 Savarino was somewhat dangerous when shooting and got around defenders a handful of times, but was uncharacteristically off when trying to find his teammates in the box.

Albert Rusnak - 4.5 Rusnak took four shots and none of them ended up on frame. He should have done quite a bit better with his chances.

Sam Johnson - 5.5 Johnson did some impressive things with the ball when trying to hold it up and find someone to alleviate pressure. He tried to take advantage of a high defensive line, but was unable to connect.

Substitutes:

Corey Baird - 6 Baird was the substitute RSL needed, injecting some speed and determination in a game that lacked a lot of creativity.

Sebastian “Bofo” Saucedo - 5.5 Bofo was also a nice energy boost for RSL and was credited with an assist even though it seemed somewhat coincidental.
