On a day where trade news are making headlines in the NWSL, Utah Royals FC announce that the club has traded forward Katie Stengel to the Houston Dash along with the team’s 2020 third-round draft pick in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2020 College Draft, as well as Houston’s natural second-round draft pick in 2021.

In two seasons, Stengel recorded eight goals and one assist in 47 matches, including a team-high six goals in 2018, making her the leading scorer for that season.

Stengel came to Utah in 2018 after being selected in the Boston Breakers Dispersal Draft.

URFC currently holds the 12th and 31st overall picks. The NWSL College Draft is on January 16.
