Despite a flurry of shots and the majority of possession, Real Salt Lake was unable to find the back of the net as FC Dallas was able to hold the home side to a scoreless draw. RSL outshot Dallas 24-8 overall on the night.

Tonight saw the return of Albert Rusnak who had been out for several weeks with the Slovakian international team for their UEFA Nations League matches. After a 10-day quarantine upon return, he was eligible for the game tonight and made the starting eleven.

RSL came out with some fire in the first half and came within inches several times, including a crossbar hit and three more shots forcing Maurer to make some impressive saves. The defense did well to hold Dallas to only two shots in the first 45 without a single one on target, while RSL logged a giant 18 shots overall with three on target, controlling 53% of possession.

Another ball bounced off the post midway through the second half when Kreilach sent in a curling shot that beat Maurer. Unfortunately it hit the post and bounced behind and out of play for a goal kick.

Despite plenty of chances, RSL couldn’t find the go ahead goal and ended the game in a 0-0 draw, unable to get the full three they were searching for. RSL has three more games to lock down a playoff spot as they face off against San Jose, LA Galaxy, and Sporting Kansas City to close out the season.
