  • 1-2: Inadequate. Player directly resulted in lost match points.
  • 3-4: Adequate. Player did things that resemble good soccer.
  • 5: Average. The player didn’t win or lose the match.
  • 6: Professional. The player can go home without shame.
  • 7: Good. The player made positive contributions.
  • 8: Excellent. The player was directly involved in getting a positive result.
  • 9: Exceptional. The player dominated their position.
  • 10: Pele’s back! The player single-handedly carried the entire team.

There was very little point variation across all players; point of fact, the highest average rating went to one of the substitutes (Douglas Martinez - 5.72), and the lowest player only received an average of 3.67.
