Real Salt Lake returned home for the final game of 2020, and the 3rd snow game in the last 4 years. Both sides had good reasons for wanting a win; Sporting Kansas City were having a successful season after last year’s collapse, and needed a win to remain 1st in the west; RSL wanted to sent a retiring well respected veteran player out with a win, not to mention denting their arch-rival’s playoff positioning. Alas, unlike previous years the snow did not give RSL an advantage.
