First reported on Saturday via Benjamin Quarez of Goal.com, and retweeted below, midfielder Aminata Diallo of PSG will come to Utah Royals FC via a loan.

The club, with the reports already circulating on Twitter and Goal.com, posted a teaser about an upcoming announcement on Tuesday. It was expected that Utah Royals FC would make the news official today, its first international signing of 2020.

Diallo will join URFC forthe 2020 season, pending the approval of her P-1 visa. The rights to Diallo were acquired from the Houston Dash in exchange for a third round draft pick for the 2021 National Women’s Soccer League College Draft because Diallo was Discovery Player, someone who is a domestic or international Player who is currently not under contract with the League. A team may claim her rights by adding her to their Discovery List (as Houston did).

Most recently, Diallo played as a midfielder for PSG and for the France women’s national team. With PSG, Diallo made 59 appearances since 2016 and 7 with the French national team. Diallo is seeking more playing time, a reason to come to Utah as URFC looks to improve their midfield.
