Soapbox Oracle - 3/2/20

Week 1 in the books, and NSchneebly hits the pitch running!

Oracle Scoring System:

  • Getting the right result (Team A beats Team B): 1 point
  • Each correct number of goals for either team: 1 point (result was 1-1, and you picked 2-1; gives you 1 correct pick and 1 wrong pick so 1 point).
  • If you picked the correct goal for one team, and the final result (result was 2-0, and you picked 2-1; you get 1 point for the goal, and one for the result so 2 points).

So there is are 0-3 points possible for EVERY game. Bonus games will also be added occasionally with International games, Open Cup and others.

There were a full 13 games last week, and 14 more upcoming as Real Monarchs SLC start play this week as well!

ORACLE OF THE WEEK: NSchneebly starts with a rout scoring 26 points!

  • Participation: 22
  • Game with most points earned: Nashville SC losing to Atlanta United; 36 points given out, with all but two players picking up at least one.
  • Game with least points earned: Portland Timbers home collapse vs Minnesota United had 7 players picking up a point each.
  • Bonus/Tiebreaker: None this week, but bonus points will be coming!
