Off the Crossbar, episode 12: Furloughs and Mt. Rushmores

In the latest episode of Off the Crossbar, we’re taking a look at Real Salt Lake’s employee layoffs and furloughs from last week, which have us concerned in a fairly significant way.

The big question from this: How does Dell Loy Hansen’s independent financial position — he is a billionaire, after all — play into our consideration of the situation?

On the lighter side, we’re taking a scenic tour of Real Salt Lake’s other Mt. Rushmores, none of which feature the best players on the team. It’s a bit more fun than arguing over just one player’s presence on the list (three of them are basically set in stone — Javier Morales, Kyle Beckerman, and Nick Rimando — while one is up for debate) and a whole lot weirder.

Join us for the all-remote, stay-home episode as we try to traverse a landscape without soccer on the field — but plenty of soccer on the brain.
