According to French site L’Èquipière, French goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi and German midfielder Dzenifer Marozsán are preparing to leave Olympique Lyonnais for a transfer to the U.S., most likely to Utah Royals FC. Sources well in the know with Lyon also confirmed that they have heard the same.

Bouhaddi has been with the French super club since 2009, and Marozsán since 2016. Both are regulars in their national team.

These two signings would undoubtedly be a major addition to the club, especially on the midfield with Marozsán considered one of the best in the world. An addition of another goalkeeper is interesting as the Royals currently have Nicole Barnhart and Abby Smith.

Though this is a rumor at press time, the last time there was a rumor in French media of the transfer of Aminata Diallo, she did join Utah Royals FC on a loan from PSG four days later. Her signing was not to be the only this season, however. Utah hoped to use allocation money to attract major international players to Utah.

The 2020 NWSL season is currently on hold due to Covid-19. The goal is to start June 27, but that is a tentative date as the global pandemic continues to spread.
