Zac MacMath - 6.5 MacMath did as much as anyone to help RSL keep the clean sheet. He used his bit mitt to stop a few shots that looked like they could spell trouble.
Justen Glad - 6.5 Glad seems to have taken the next step in his development and looks more assertive. He is playing simple and it is effective. RSL’s defensive dominance thus far in the tournament starts with Glad.
Marcelo Silva - 5.5 Silva put in the work on the back line to keep Minnesota from getting too many looks at goal, although one or two chances did come through his mark.
Donny Toia - 5 Toia and his mustache showed some intimidation and control on the outside.
Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera once again looked dangerous on both sides of the ball and continues to elevate his career.
Pablo Ruiz - 6 Ruiz got his first start in a very long time and was RSL’s most dangerous player over the course of the game. He got a couple of shots off that texted Minnesota’s keeper and pushed RSL to be a little more aggressive on the offensive end.
Evereton Luiz - 5.5 Luiz did not have the typical kind of enforcer game we’re used to, but he did muddy the waters for the Loons a few times.
Albert Rusnak - 5 Rusnak did not get a lot of time before he went off due to an injury, but his presence was missed after he left.
Damir Kreilach - 5.5 Kreilach found his teammates in space a handful of times, but most of his work was on defense.
Corey Baird - 5.5 Baird got the ball to the end line once or twice, but like most of RSL, was really putting in a lot of defensive work more than anything.
Douglas Martinez - 5.5 Martinez had a decent shot in the first half but was otherwise largely unnoticed.
Substitutes
Justin Meram - 5.5 Meram came on at an uncommon time when Rusnak was forced off and did pretty well to get involved in the game. He also had one of RSL’s best chances to score.
Sam Johnson - 5 Sam sprinted to get into a great spot to score towards the end of the match, but ultimately shot wide what was RSL’s most obvious scoring chance. You get the impression, however, that with more minutes he could get in some sort of rhythm.
