Soapbox Oracle - Tournament Wk 6

Tournament Week 5 ends, MLS knockout rounds continue.

Oracle Scoring System:

  • Getting the right result (Team A beats Team B): 1 point
  • Each correct number of goals for either team: 1 point (result was 1-1, and you picked 2-1; gives you 1 correct pick and 1 wrong pick so 1 point).
  • If you picked the correct goal for one team, and the final result (result was 2-0, and you picked 2-1; you get 1 point for the goal, and one for the result so 2 points).

So there is are 0-3 points possible for EVERY game. Bonus games will also be added occasionally with International games, Open Cup and others.

The MLS is Back tournament playoffs continue towards the final. Games resume tomorrow (July 30th) so get your picks in early so you don’t miss points.

Tournament Wk 4 ORACLE OF THE WEEK: Takeyabue with 13 points!

  • Participation: 7.
  • Game with most points earned: Portland Timbers PK win over FC Cincinnati earned 10 points total to players. Since the game was tied at regulation I awarded points for the 1-1 draw and PK winner.
  • Game with least points earned: New York City FC thumping Toronto FC gave 1 point to one lucky player.
  • Bonus/Tiebreaker: RSLMountainMan earned the 5 points for picking Houston Dash as the NWSL champion.

Bonus points this week will be given for the final 4 picks from lasts week, and for correct goals for games that go to penalty kicks.
