Player Ratings: RSL 3-0 LAFC

RSL took full advantage of LAFC’s poor form.

MLS: Los Angeles FC at Real Salt Lake Jeffrey Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Andrew Putna - 6.5 It’s pretty hard to argue with the amount of saves Putna made. Sure, not all of them were difficult, but a couple were and he helped earn the clean sheet after some criticism in his past couple of games.

Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera nearly had a goal and was once again repeatedly in the mix on offense. His run of high-level form continues.

Justen Glad - 6.5 Glad showed some of his quickness in this game in some recovery defensive runs. He was sharp and make smart tactical fouls.

Nedum Onuoha - 6.5 Nedum did what you expect from your center back, he held down the fort and did not allow for nonsense around him.

Pablo Ruiz - 5.5 Ruiz was effective in the defensive midfield role, but a little wide-eyed in his shot attempts.

Damir Kreilach - 7 That header was perfectly executed. For some reason, it seems that Kreilach is at his best against LAFC. No complaints here.

Justin Meram - 7 Meram got another start and had a good time out there. He was creative as ever and showed us just how comfortable he is under pressure, dancing around the defender to score a close-range goal.

Albert Rusnak - 6.5 Rusnak was in the right place a handful of times, but was unable to find the finishing touch in the run of play. However, Justen Glad earned a PK and Rusnak finished it cleanly and confidently.

Maikel Chang - 6.5 Chang knows how to make a precision pass, and proved it again finding Damir on the opening goal. At this pace he has a good chance to become RSL’s assist leader.

Corey Baird - 5.5 Baird’s speed and movement was giving LAFC problems, but Baird didn’t get any good looks at the goal.

Substitutes

Everton Luiz - 5.5 Luiz came on and locked things down defensively. He helped maintain possession as well with speed and skill.

Douglas Martinez Jr. - 5.5 Martinez was unable to get very involved on the offensive end, but he had a nice showing for himself on defense.
