If you don’t know, I moved to Salem, Oregon last spring. Oregon’s burning and the air quality is very, very bad. So we’re hiding from the smoke here in Salt Lake County until things cool down.
We made it here in time to hang out in the west desert with a few family members for my nephew’s 4th birthday.
On the way out, a man was driving way too fast behind me on Redwood Road west of Utah Lake and he flipped twice off the side of the road. It was a mess. He was unconscious, but I roused him and made sure he didn’t have worse injuries while my wife called him an ambulance.
The birthday gathering was fun. And cute. My nephew demanded a “ham party,” and it was so.
Our tire got a two-inch gash on our way back to watch the RSL game. Of course, it being a newer hybrid vehicle, there is no spare. The spray flat fix couldn’t handle the gash.
After pulling off the tire, riding back to my parents’ house, showering, trying to VPN my way past the blackout, and failing (it seems Colorado games are blacked out everywhere!), I turned on the OTA broadcast. At the 82nd minute.
It was Colorado 4-0 RSL. I watched until the 5th Rapids goal and turned the TV off.
I really hope that dude was okay.
