Just days after announcing Bode Davis as a Real Salt Lake signing, another talented youngster is moving up the ranks in Noah Powder, a 21-year-old left back.

Powder, who has played with Real Monarchs over the past two seasons, was a vital part of the club’s USL Cup run in 2019. He was a graduate of the New York Red Bulls Academy.

He will be available for the club starting in 2021.

From a club-issued release, RSL general manager Elliott Fall:

“Noah is another success story of our development model. He’s a young, talented player who came into the Monarchs with something to prove and is hungry to show his skills at every level. He proved it by helping lead the team to a championship in 2019 and he’s really taken a step forward this year in terms of what he brings on the field and what he brings to the locker room. We are excited to see him at our Club for years to come.”

From the same release, Noah Powder:

I’m grateful for this opportunity from this great organization. I am extremely grateful for my time as a Monarch and want to thank their staff in helping me reach my goal. As a Monarch the main goal is to play well and earn a chance with Real Salt Lake. I’m excited for this opportunity and ready for what’s to come in the near future.

Finally, RSL coach Freddy Juarez:

“We have been tracking Noah for a while and the Monarchs staff has done a great job with him. He’s been in some big games at the USL level with multiple teams so he has a lot of experience there. We feel he has the technical ability to play at the next level. Now we have to challenge him to help him reach his full potential and help the team.”
