Player Ratings: Minnesota 0-0 RSL

The team dug deep to earn a nerve-racking ponit.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Minnesota United FC Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Andrew Putna- 7.5 Putna had his best game in a RSL uniform, hands down. He came up big against Reynoso on three different occasions to keep their DP frustrated and get a shutout.

Justen Glad - 7.5 Glad made some heroic runs showing his speed and using it to his advantage. He also made some really impressive quick decisions to keep the ball out of danger.

Nedum Onuoha - 6.5 Nedum put his all into the game, no question. But he did get beat a couple times which, good for RSL, did not lead to a goal. Overall, he was part of what was a pretty solid back line.

Marcelo Silva - 7 Silva fought like everyone else on the back line and showed his experience in a high intensity game. Silva was willing to sacrifice his body a couple of times and prevented Minnesota from scoring with that selflessness.

Aaron Herrera - 7.5 Herrera was nothing short of dominant in Minnesota. He won nearly all of his battles and was in the drivers seat virtually the entire game with his smarts.

Pablo Ruiz - 6 Ruiz once again showed why he is earning starts. He played his role very well in midfield where most of the battles took place in this game.

Damir Kreilach - 5.5 Damir had a relatively quiet game returning to the midfield, but did have a well-taken header that was saved.

Albert Rusnak - 6.5 The captain looked the part with some grit and skill at every turn. He withstood two really unfair no-calls and led his team to a really tough road point.

Justin Meram - 6 Meram was very creative and gave RSL some good opportunities to score. He simply ran out of gas as time went on.

Maikel Chang - 6 We did not see the picture perfect passing from Chang in this one, but he fought hard

Douglas Martinez Jr. - 5.5 Martinez had a couple of half chances but was unable to make something out of them. He looked like he was still working his way back into form.

Substitutes

Sam Johnson - 6 Same came on when the battle was hot and he played with ferocity.

Nick Besler - 5.5 Besler came in and provided a bit of calm in a game that was tense.

Jeizon Ramirez - 5.5 Ramirez alleviated pressure when RSL was under the gun for most of the last 20 minutes of the game.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman was good in the box and cleared a few balls that were trying to find their way into the net.

Donny Toia - N/A
