The Knee Jerk: RSL vs Colorado Rapids

So my massive overreaction from that loss at Colorado didn’t pan out. Nice! We didn’t actually give away the Rocky Mountain Cup.

Tonight’s match was one of the most enjoyable of the season. It was a balanced duel. Two teams fighting for the win to the very end. Coaches making moves to outmaneuver the competition. It was glorious.

Our movement of the ball, possession, and the way we absorbed Colorado’s strong attack made for a massively entertaining match. Give me more of these.

I’m glad we were able to overcome a strong opponent. It’s so much more fun to win against an opponent that shows up to challenge instead of stomping all over the challenge for an easy win. It means so much more. It’s a win that will build confidence and skill. Give me more.
