In a roundabout sort of way, Real Salt Lake announced a preseason outing against Sacramento Republic FC for Saturday at 10 a.m., with the match set for exclusive season ticket holder attendance.
The event will comprise two non-regulation matches against Sacramento Republic of 80 and 40 minutes in length, and one match of undisclosed length against a combined Real Monarchs and RSL Academy team.
The matches were announced to season ticket holders Monday afternoon in an email, and sparse details about the event were posted on Instagram. There is no indication if the matches will be streamed, and attendance will be capped at 5,000.
The matches will be the last set of training for the club prior to their Tucson, Ariz., training session, wherein they will play three matches. Two of those are set to be streamed, while one — a match against Phoenix Rising FC — will not be streamed.
