Today, Real Salt Lake announced their 2021 preseason schedule. Training will officially begin on Monday, March 8th at the training facilities in Herriman before the team goes to Tucson, Arizona beginning March 31st.
There are three games scheduled for their trip to Tucson: April 3rd vs. Colorado Rapids, April 7th vs Phoenix Rising FC, and April 10th vs LA Galaxy. Per the team’s announcement, fan and media attendance will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, with specific restrictions announced at a future date. This schedule is also subject to change. In recent years, RSL has spent a portion of their preseason in Tucson, a tradition that will continue to happen even in the COVID-19 era.
Via Twitter, RSL employee Tyler Gibbons also announced that it is still unknown if this year’s preseason games will be streamed. We should know whether the games against the Rapids and the Galaxy will be streamed in a few weeks.
Due to COVID protocols, truck & crew availability in AZ, logistics with LA/COL, streaming preseason matches in Tucson is TBD. I should have final answer in a week or two.

Only thing I can say with certainty is PHX game will not be streamed. Rising said no thanks. https://t.co/jCIh92HzKR
