Player Ratings: Minnesota 1-2 RSL

The RSL attack stood out in the Twin Cities.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Minnesota United FC Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

David Ochoa - 6 Ochoa made his second start for RSL and played the role of the villain in Minnesota. Like it or not, he brings something that RSL has not had for a while which is a player that embraces that role. The Loons didn’t test him much, but he was ready al game long.

Donny Toia - 5 Toia let a few chances leak through his side and had a pretty average performance.

Justen Glad - 6.5 The RSL Academy product played a clean game and looked like a leader on the field. He nearly scored on a corner kick as well.

Marcelo Silva - 6 Silva dug in on defense and did not seem to get caught out of position as he tends to do sometimes.

Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera completed nearly every pass he made and was by and large a force on his side of the field.

Pablo Ruiz - 6.5 If one game is any indication, Ruiz seems to have picked up right where he left off in 2020. He made some really nice passes to allow the attackers to do their thing and was a catalyst throughout.

Damir Kreilach - 5 Damir had a quiet game overall but was in good amount of duels and was reliable on defense.

Everton Luiz - 5.5 The Enforcer looks to be back to health in returned to the form that we saw from him when he was at his best at RSL.

Alber Rusnak - 5.5 The captain lived up to expectations as a leader. His game was not statistically impressive, but he rallied RSL to play for the crest rather than the individual.

Anderson Julio - 8 It looks like we have a scoring threat on our hands. Julio had a very impressive brace in his RSL debut and surely opened eyes not just with his two goals but with his commitment on defense as well.

Rubio Rubin - 8 Rubin did not score a goal, but he was the most consistent scoring threat in the game. He was active and involved and RSL’s goals would likely not have happened without him.

Substitutes

Justin Meram - 5.5 Meram looked great as a substitute. He was energetic and nearly gave RSL their third goal.

Nick Besler - 5.5 Besler helped close out the game for Real Salt Lake with defensive smarts and hard work.

Douglas Martinez - N/A

Justin Portillo - N/A

Maikel Chang - N/A
