On Tuesday morning, independent supporters groups The Riot and Wasatch Legion announced a pledge drive running through the month of June to raise money for the charity Project Rainbow.
The Pride Month pledge drive accounts for all Real Salt Lake and Real Monarchs games in June. Participants in the drive pledge a dollar amount, with a $1 minimum, per home goal scored. Those who pledge will receive an email at the end of June with their total donation.
Project Rainbow is a Utah-based charity that takes donations to finance projects and events that promote LGBTQ+ visibility in Utah. Projects and events include the Utah Trans Pride Festival, the Utah Pride Story Garden, and Rock Camp SLC.
