Player Ratings: RSL 1-1 Minnesota

A deflating game made individual performances seem worse than they were.

MLS: Minnesota United FC at Real Salt Lake Jeffrey Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Zac MacMath - 3 Not a lot was asked of MacMath, in fact he did not make one true save in this game. However, when called upon to catch a ball with a player flying in the air in front of him, he fumbled the ball into the net effectively costing RSL two points.

Marcelo Silva - 6 There was not a real standout mistake from Silva which is a relief. He had a pretty solid game with some strong tackles.

Justen Glad - 5.5 Glad played pretty well overall but also lost track of his man on a Minnesota chance that could have cost RSL the full three points.

Andrew Brody - 6 Brody got another start for RSL and looked the part again with some really energetic play. Brody did well defensively but was also as involved in the attack as anyone.

Pablo Ruiz - 5.5 Ruiz was not quite as sharp tactically on the offensive side as he usually is, but he intercepted a lot of balls on defense.

Damir Kreilach - 7 What else can you say at this point? Kreilach is likely RSL’s most consistent performer who shows up when RSL needs something to get them going. He had RSL’s lone goal.

Nick Besler - 5 Besler chipped in quite a bit defensively but did not stand out as a key performer.

Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak had a couple of good scoring chances and was a creator for many spurts. Hopefully this is something he can build off of.

Anderson Julio - 5 Julio did not do as much on offense as is needed of him. He had a couple of decent plays but was just a bit off either in finishing or in making the key pass.

Rubio Rubin - 5.5 This was an unexpectedly quiet game from Rubin who was unable to unlock magic like we have seen a handful of times this season.

Substitutes

Justin Meram - 6.5 Meram came on and truly played the role that a substitute is supposed to play. He was arguably RSL’s most dangerous player not just in the approximately 20 minutes he played, but in the entire match. He did about as much as he could to try to nab a goal.
