David Ochoa - 5.5 Ochoa had a bit of a slow night only having to deal with two shots on goal. Vancover was able to get a goal, but to no fault of Ochoa’s.
Andrew Brody - 5.5 Brody moved up the field a few times but was not as effective in the attack as we got used to the past few games.
Justen Glad - 6 Glad did a great job of reading the game and keeping Vancouver from getting the ball into dangerous spots.
Marcelo Silva - 4 Silva got an early yellow forcing him to take a reserved approach to his game. He also seemed to lose a bit of focus as the game went on.
Aaron Herrera - 6 This was a strange game for Herrera who was not quite at the top of his game letting defenders get on the wrong side of him. However, he did come up with a great throw in assist that helped RSL pull ahead in stoppage time.
Pablo Ruiz - 4.5 Too many easy giveaways from Ruiz left us scratching our heads since he is typically very tidy with the ball.
Damir Kreilach - 8 Dami was the clear leader of the night for RSL. He put the ball on a platter for Julio in the first half even though it did not end up in the net. He got RSL’s first and last goal through good positional play and his ability to win headers. Great game from Kreilach.
Nick Besler - 5 Besler had a very efficient night on the ball connecting on nearly every pass he attempted. He went through much of the game unnoticed which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak had an especially good first half setting up chances and connecting with his teammates. His assist to Kreilach on the first goal was a beautiful heal flick that caught Vancouver’s defense off guard.
Anderson Julio - 5.5 Julio made some nice runs but probably should have done more with the chances he had.
Rubio Rubin - 5 Rubin garnered a lot of attention from the defense which led to a pretty quiet night from the striker. He did have a pretty decent shot on goal that the keeper saved, but was subdued outside of that.
Substitutes
Justin Meram - 6 Meram’s assist to Kreilach on the third goal was perfectly placed for success. He continues to prove himself selfless and effective off the bench.
Erik Holt - 6.5 Holt put RSL ahead in stoppage time with a backwards header akin to what he would do with the Monarchs earning his first goal in MLS.
Everton Luiz - N/A
Douglas Martinez - N/A
