David Ochoa - 6 Ochoa only had to make one true save, but it was an eyebrow-raiser. He was alert all night.
Ashtone Morgan - 6.5 In his first start for RSL, Morgan made a significant impact on the game. He was clearly hungry to prove himself after a tumultuous couple of years and it showed. His highlight, besides his energy and effort, was a header on the goal line that prevented Colorado from scoring.
Justen Glad - 6 Glad played smart and led the defensive organization. He had a clean and efficient game.
Marcelo Silva - 6 Alongside Glad, Silva committed to keeping Colorado off the scoreboard and made a couple of rough tackles and tactical fouls to that end.
Aaron Herrera - 6 This was one of those games where Herrera wasn’t threatening as much on the offensive side of the ball as usual, but he was everywhere he needed to be on defense.
Nick Besler - 6 Besler got another start in a crowded schedule and proved himself capable of the spot once again with smart play in the middle of the field and knowing when to mitigate an attack.
Damir Kreilach - 6.5 Dami had a nice connection with Rubin to help him get back on the score sheet. He put in a ton of work in the middle of the field as well and finished with a very high passing completion percentage.
Justin Meram - 6.5 Meram had an especially good first half getting around defenders and creating chances even though it didn’t show up on the stat line.
Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak was credited with the assist on an incredible finish by Bobby Wood, but had an otherwise subdued performance. It is of note, however, that he completed 96% of his passes.
Maikel Chang - 6 Chang got another start after some stellar performances. He created a few chances to be sure, but not as many as we got used to for a bit.
Bobby Wood - 7.5 Wood was dangerous and aggressive from the opening whistle. On his goal, he received the ball and took it about one third the length of the field, created his own space, and finished near post on a really tough angle. What a way to get his first RSL goal.
Substitutes
Rubio Rubin - 7 Rubin got a much-deserved goal after a couple months of luck not going his way. He puts on the work and gets in great positions, he just needed that clear look at goal.
Donny Toia - 5.5 Toia helped RSL close out the game and get the clean sheet on top of the three points.
Jonathan Menendez - 6.5 Menendez made his debut for Real Salt Lake and showed some real flashes of exciting play and incredible skill taking on defenders with ease.
