The Knee Jerk: RSL vs Houston

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Houston Dynamo Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

A point on the road in Texas. A clean sheet for MacMath. It was an interesting game kept to zeroes by the goalkeepers.

How about Baird, eh? He brought some real energy when he came on. What’s that, you say? He doesn’t play for RSL anymore? Oh. He’s improved under Bradley at LAFC. Just glad he didn’t score.

Speaking of glad, I’m not feeling glad that Glad won’t be in the lineup on Wednesday.

I don’t have much to complain about with this match, though. Houston did a good job shutting down our attackers, but we still were able to get some decent chances. We held of the Houston attack, but they were still able to get some decent chances. Kreilach was a conspicuous absence for RSL, however; Wood, too. After that energy they had against Colorado, it was tough to find them anywhere out there tonight. Good on Houston for that, I guess.

I like a good back and forth match. Tonight was fun to watch. On to the next one. Here’s hoping we get to see some more out of our newer lads.

Which Hogwarts house do you think Houston player Griffin Dorsey would be placed in?

It’s USA vs Mexico tomorrow! It’ll hopefully be naughty chant free.

I really want to see more of Jony Menéndez. He was a bit fally-downy tonight, but I’m getting some Burrito Martínez footwork vibes.
