Royal Roundup: Toronto FC fire head coach Chris Armas

RSL U-15’s win championship, Velasquez back in USL, 15 year old makes debut for Thorns, Ronaldo staying in Juventus, and more.

Following Saturday’s 7-1 blowout at the hands of DC United (which was a team scoring record for DCU), Toronto FC president Bill Manning has fired head coach Chris Armas. Armas had only been the coach since January after taking over from LA Galaxy’s current coach Greg Vanney. Assistant coach Javier Perez will assume interim coach duties.
