Player Ratings: Houston 0-0 RSL

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Houston Dynamo Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Zac MacMath - 6 MacMath got his first minutes in a long while and came on ready to play. He showed his professionality in this one and came up with a highlight save in the dying minutes of the game.

Ashtone Morgan - 5.5 Two starts in a row for Morgan and he had another nice performance showing hunger and grit once again.

Justen Glad - 7 Glad was massive the entire game up until he got his second yellow card and was sent off. He was having his way on defense making multiple steps to prevent Houston’s balls through the middle.

Marcelo Silva - 5 Silva played a smart game and did not get into any trouble in this one.

Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera once again provided a lot of service from out wide and put RSL in some good places to score.

Nick Besler - 6 Besler was clean in the middle of the field and helped RSL maintain possession and slow down Houston’s attack down the stretch.

Damir Kreilach - 5.5 Dami had a couple of half chances that we all know he is capable of finishing. He put in a full shift and helped RSL get a shutout.

Justin Meram - 6 Meram had a great shot that was saved and another great ball to Rusnak that he probably should have finished.

Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak should have done a little better with the ball from Meram (see above) but he was a pretty consistent threat all game long.

Maikel Chang - 5 Chang was not the impact player against Houston in terms of creating chances, but he was decent. He took a shot on the first touch from Herrera that went sky high and left us all wanting.

Bobby Wood - 5 Wood started off nicely but things really slowed down for him early in the game since he was not receiving the ball.

Substitutes

Jonathan Menendez - 6 Menendez gave RSL a new look in possession and helped RSL control the game for long stretches as the clock ran out.

Rubio Rubin - 5.5 Rubin did not have a lot of time to find rhythm, but he did well to help RSL close the game out.

Anderson Julio - 4 Julio had what was probably RSL’s best scoring chance of the game and completely missed the mark.

Everton Luiz - N/A

Erik Holt - N/A
