Player Ratings: Colorado 2-1 RSL

It was a tough go of it in Colorado.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Colorado Rapids Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Zac MacMath - 5.5 MacMath made it through the first half with two saves before he had to sub out due to injury.

Donny Toia - 3.5 Barrios and others repeatedly got the best of Toia down the left side, sometimes embarrassingly so. It simply was not a great game for him in Colorado.

Justen Glad - 6 It was good to see Glad return to the starting lineup after a couple of suspensions. He established a bit more cohesiveness and had some good moments of savvy play.

Marcelo Silva - 4.5 Silva got lost on the defensive end a couple times, but also ended up with two shots on target. Strange game from him.

Aaron Herrera - 6.5 Herrera is going through a good run of performances right now and picked up another assist keeping him tied for third in the league.

Nick Besler - 4 Besler had a couple of decent moments like a good header that was ultimately saved, but he was pretty consistently outplayed in the midfield.

Damir Kreilach - 5.5 Damir had a couple of shots that were close without a cigar at the end and drew what looked to be a penalty until the VAR showed he was initially offsides.

Albert Rusnak - 7 Rusnak was very good for most of the match. His goal was a thing of beauty but was overshadowed by RSL giving up their lead.

Jonathan Menendez - 6 Menendez did a lot of good things on the field in Colorado and picked up a secondary assist on the Rusnak goal. He was combining really well with Herrera in the first half and is picking up assists at a rapid pace.

Anderson Julio - 5.5 Anderson got a start after his late game-winner at home against Houston but did not have much of an effect on this game going large stretches unnoticed.

Rubio Rubin - 6 Rubin was extremely unlucky not to get a goal in Colorado. His goal was called back after review showing what we were told was offsides from Glad. He was in a lot of good attacking spots throughout.

Substitutes

Andrew Putna - 4.5 Putna got an unexpected chance at significant minutes subbing on for the second half and ultimately was unable to come up with the save or two RSL needed to come back to Salt Lake with something to show for it. He had one nice windshield save but soon thereafter showed signs of rust.

Justin Meram - 5 Meram had a couple of half looks at the goal but nothing overly impactful.

Maikel Chang - 5 Chang hardly had time to get involved outside of sending a few balls into the box that were headed away by the Colorado defenders.

Noah Powder - N/A
