Player of the Match: Rusnak picked up a goal and two assists in San Jose

Rusnak was a leader in every aspect.

Albert was a clear leader for RSL in San Jose. He fought for his teammates when he felt like a call or lack thereof was unjust. More importantly, he led by example and converted for RSL with a goal and two assists.

Rusnak took a lot of flack early in the season, right or wrong. He has clearly turned things around and put an emphatic stamp on this match as proof that he is still very much one of the most valuable players for RSL.

RSL scored four goals and Rusnak was involved in all of them. His corner kick ended up off the chest of Rubin for RSL to open up the account.

Early in the second half he shimmied around the San Jose defense to score. San Jose took things back, but Rusnak never gave up and found Meram to level the game and later placed the ball perfectly to Rubin who was able to finish and give RSL the final lead.

Rusnak deserves tons of credit for these three points and what may be a turning point for RSL on the season.
