David Ochoa - 4 Ochoa made three saves, but clearly did not make enough saves. The goals were not his fault to be clear, but he was not completely innocent either. Communication issues between Ochoa and the defense crept up again.
Toni Datkovic - 2.5 Toni got beat badly on Portland’s first two goals. His performance was very poor and he was subbed off at the half.
Erik Holt - 3.5 Holt got exposed in Portland. He relied a bit too much on his physical play and was not good positionally.
Justen Glad - 4.5 Glad does not shoulder the blame for any one goal, but he was definitely in the mix at times when the defense broke down.
Aaron Herrera - 6 Herrera had some great tackles and is starting to get shots off with some regularity. He was one of the few bright spots for RSL.
Everton Luiz -4 Luiz did not have a good night in Portland and seemed to be chasing the game the whole time.
Pablo Ruiz 4 Ruiz came off a great performance against Seattle and laid an egg in Portland. He started out pretty confident but then began losing the ball and any semblance of control in the midfield.
Damir Kreilach - 6.5 Kreilach got RSL’s lone goal which came as a result of some chaos in the box. He found a way to get it in the goal but had a fairly quiet game otherwise.
Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak had a few of RSL’s best scoring chances but Clark bested him. It’s unfortunate because they really were good takes.
Justin Meram - 4 Meram was ineffective for most of the game, at least in part due to playing out of his most comfortable position.
Rubio Rubin - 5.5 Rubin did not get enough touches on the ball and had a hard time getting really involved, but he did well with his back to the goal.
Substitutes
Noah Powder - 5 Powder came on at the half and had a five shots, none of which had a great chance of going in. He had a few decent moments though.
Jonathan Menendez - 5 Menendez tried to create a spark but did not really get into any sort of rhythm and came into a game in which RSL was outplayed in almost every facet.
Anderson Julio - N/A
Milan Iloski - N/A
