Deja Vu! Real Monarchs, Tulsa Roughnecks play second match in a week

Seems like just the other day that the Real Monarchs and the Tulsa Roughnecks played to a 1-1 draw at Rio Tinto Stadium.

In fact, it was just the other day. Last Saturday that these two teams met first the first time, and play the return leg this evening in Tulsa at ONEOK Field.

Last Saturday, Emery Welshman got RMSLC on the board in the first half, as his shot outside the box beat the diving Tulsa keeper. Tulsa returned the favor to evened up the match at 1-1. The woodwork, and a few good saves kept the score at 1-1 and both teams earned a point. Fan can expect more of the same tonight.

The draw brought the Real Monarch record to 2-11-7 on the season and 13 points. Tulsa moved to 9-9-5 on the year, and only one point out of the final playoff spot behind Sacramento and the Orange County.

The two teams square off Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. MDT.
