2017 Monarchs Dossier: Daniel Haber

A new signing for 2017, Haber looks to bring his experience and goal scoring proficiency to the Monarchs.

Real Monarchs placeholder 7

Player name: Daniel Haber

Position: Forward

Last club: Vancouver Whitecaps 2

One thing you need to know

At the tender age of 24, Haber already has three years of professional play under his belt, including appearances for the Canadian National Team. He has spent time in the Israeli Premier League, the Cyprus First Division, Liga Leumit in Isreal, and USL.

What he brings to the team

In short, GOALS. In college, Haber proved to be a prolific goal scorer. Tallying 18 goals and seven assists in his junior year, he finished first in the nation in points per game and goals per game. His scoring continued through every league he’s played in, putting up at least two goals for every club he’s played for. He chipped in seven goals for USL side Vancouver Whitecaps 2 in 2016 as well. Here’s hoping that run of goal scoring form continues in the Claret and Cobalt.

Why you should be excited

Not to overstate the subject above, but... GOALS. Haber joins a very talented Monarchs attacking core alongside playmakers like Charlie Adams and Andrew Brody. Expect him to pitch in nicely this season.

Predictions for 2017

  • We will see Haber ring up at least four goals this season, with four assists to match.
  • RSL fans will finally hop aboard the Monarchs train after realizing how fun attending the matches can be, and attendance will blossom accordingly. Pass it on.
