First, Becky Sauerbrunn. Then, Desiree Scott. Today, midfielders Mandy Laddish and Erika Tymrak, two more players from the FC Kansas City roster, are officially a part of the Utah Royals FC. Both players are veterans in the NWSL and were key members of FC Kansas City’s back-to-back championship seasons in 2014 and 2015.
Tymrak was drafted by FC Kansas City in the second round of the 2013 NWSL draft. That same season, she won the Rookie of the Year Award. Along with her NWSL experience, the Florida Gators alum was a member of the U-17 U.S. National Team that finished second at the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand. She also spent time with the U.S. National Team in 2013, scoring her first international goal against Brazil in that same year.
Laddish joined FC Kansas City in 2014 after being drafted by the club after an impressive collegiate career at Notre Dame. The Lee Summitt, Missouri native played on the U-17 and U-20 U.S. National Teams, winning the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Both players are excited and looking forward to playing in Utah.
